R.I.P.

RIP little Jean-Pierre, I'll miss you. I go home today from my work experience only to find that my little Jean-Pierre died during the week. he was the cutest little thing you'd ever seen. he used to moo really loudly for food and when he saw you coming with he bottle he'd squeal and wag his little tail with happiness he was so endearing. poor little baby's mum didn't want him but he didn't last very long.oh well i'll miss you.

A real meaning to the garbage i come out with

Today i was in maths and bored out of my brain and i said to me frined i feel like ripping my eyes from my head. of course i meant hair but i go a bit confunded( a Harry Potter reference as i am getting in the zone for watching the movie on saturday).
this guy is pretty much the visual image i had in my head at that moment.

The New Lance Armstrong

I have been sleeping on the couch watching the Tour De France every night ad it has spurred me into training. In November i am doing the Great Victorian Bike which goes from Portland and ends up somewhere via the great ocean road, probably the most scenic bit of rode in Australia i am really looking forward to it. there will be live music every night and during the day i will get to soak up the sun whilst enjoying the panoramic views. so i realized after a 50km bike ride with dad that i wasn't to fit on the old bicycle so i have been in training. as well as my jogging and rowing machine and stuff i have been riding for an hour to an hour and a half every night. it has been good. I am going to be the next Lance Armstrong! sadly though i will never look as good or cool in the bike gear (hard to beat him though :D)

after work experience i was in Melbourne for the weekend and watched the footy (yeah carn the bombers)
then i was home for a day then off to Sydney to soak up some sunshine. i was there for a week then i got home and found my stupid horse had cut its leg open grrrrr i was so upset.. my poor baby.
then i spent two days at my mates place and i saw Transformers which was pretty good then i got home yesterday afternoon and did some hard core baking then today some hard core study and so yeah heeh heeh.

3rd and 4th Installments

Woah.
Woah.
Woah.
i thought id enjoyed the first two days, they were nothing compared to days 3 and 4!
day 3
in the morning i was in the cath lad or catherization lab.basically they use wires and contrast to see how healthy the veins and arteries are. the put wire in the femoral arterie and move it from the leg up to the heart through the arteries.when they released the contrast(special dye) you could see all the veins ans arteries ect. it was like a heart x-ray even though that is a massive contradiction.using the fluro machine you could see the heart pulse.coolest thing ever.they was bit of blood seeing as a arterie was concerned but didn't phase me. i wasnt actually in the room with the surgery going on most of the time, another room joined on with a massive window where i was with two other radiographers and a cardio tech. the three people where soooooo nice and i learned an incredible amount. when the dye was released i got to into the room as they were doing it! it was so cool!after i helped this really nice nurse clean up the table but new sheets on the bed ect she was so lovely! she even gave me a piece of slice and a muffin for morning tea!like the fluro i had to wear a lead suit to protect me from radiation. i also had to put of Scrubs and wear the shoe covers hair covers, the whole kit an kaboodle!i had an absolute blast!
after lunch i actually got to go into theater!some one was having a pacemaker pt in. the radiographer i was with was so funny.it was fascinating to watch all the surgeons, anesthetists nurses and everyone else involved in surgery.
Best ever!
the only bad bit to my day was lunch.again.it was expensive and tasted horrible! ripped off!

Day 4

In the morning i was in nuclear medicine lab. it was unbelievable. in Nuc Med instead of using a camera that sends out the radiation waves like in x rays and everything else they actually inject radioactive stuff into patients or make them inhale radioactive particles and then monitor all the gamma rays and where they go to in the body!i got to go into where they made all the radioactive stuff-it just amazed me.the people in the Nuc Lab were super super nice too!i didn't even know such a thing existed.wow. all i can say!
I finally had a nice lunch! a toasted chicken ceasar wrap.i also met up with some mates for lunch so that made a considerable difference too!
in the arvo i was in MRI.geez that was bloody brilliant also.the MRI produces the most amazing images, the radiographers there picked up problems with it that even the other doctors hadn't noticed.like one person had injured the 3rd cervical spine and they picked up that she also had a problem with her 6th or 7th thoracic spine (sorry this anatomy bit is probably boring).
after that i had a talk with the lady who is running my work experience. she gave me my assessment sheet back and she had given me an excellent for everything (excellent was the best possible mark).i was assessed on things like punctuality, appropriateness of attire, rapports with workmates, ability to learn, enthusiasm ect.
i was soooooo flattered and happy.
when i got home i watched some telly with black forest choccy,a perfect end to the day!

At the Hospital days 1+2

i have had the most amazing couple of day at the hospital!
its been full on but more fun and interesting than i expected.
Day 1
so i got there at 8:30. i waited for about 20 mins for the work experience lady to come and get me.For some reason the other kid supposed to be doing work experience also didn't show? There loss!!
First off i was working in CT. You've probably seen it on TV its a big donut shaped thing that produces a 3D x-ray/image.It was really interesting, obviously i couldn't operate the machine because it was very high-tech and id screw it up and i couldn't do stuff with the patients as the really sick ones getting the CT scan. This happened to be where the sickest people in the hospital were.It was a little depressing as some people were quite young and were so sick.
for lunch i went to a cafe and ordered sushi and some how ended up with a turkey roll!? I couldn't do much as the lady didn't have good English and i didn't want to make a scene.I had a really good coffee though so that cheered me up!
next off i was in the general x-rays. It was awesome i got to play around with the x-ray machine and i got to help the radiographer do an x-ray of a foot.
I then just followed a few people around whop were doing all different x-rays.
I also got to go with two ladies to the emergency department and do a x-ray there with a mobile x-ray.it was a bit confronting as the guy was in a pretty bad state.
after that things were rally slow and there wasn't much to do so a couple of younger guys looked at some of the old really strange cases. For instance a guy who had got something stuck up his rectum :P and this one person who was made the wrong was as in her heart was on the right and everything else was on the opposite side of what it normally is, it was so fascinating!
i finished at about 4:30 then caught the train back to where i was staying.
i was so proud of myself for catching the tarn back (not a huge accomplishment i know but satisfying none the less)

Day 2
In the morning i was doing general x-rays. it was really cool and all the people were awesome. The wasn't much to do later in the morning so this mega nice lady said i could go with her to fluroscopy.Basically it is an x-ray but like a video, a couple of people where have some minor surgery things done and i got to be in there for that, it was an amazing experience.i had to where a lead suit to protect me from the radiation on the fluro machine. it was really heavy!
i had lunch at a nearby cafe. again i was kinda annoyed because i had some Thai noodles that were really flavorless and it cost me 10 bucks and a disgusting juice from a juice bar that was 5 bucks, such a rip.
the afternoon was petty slow.nothing much was happening so i just hung around and talked to some pretty cool people.
I left at the same time caught the train back and now am blogging.

It has been amazing so far I am really looking forward to the next couple of weeks!

Work Experience

OK it is 12:07 at the moment ant at 2:05 i depart for Melbourne for my work experience starting on Monday.
I am really looking forward to this. .I gt to do radiography at one of the countries best hospitals!
I'm a little nervous but i know once im there I'll be over it in a flash!
i have made brownies to take to the lady im staying with. I think even though its not much it is a nice thought. i think it is a very county thing to always bring a present or little something for someone.i wouldn't feel comfortable if i didn't have anything to take, i think it is just the way i was raised.plus , and i don't mean to brag but, my brownies are truly exceptional! they'd win anyone over :D
OK so i just got really off track there.
the only part is that i have a lot of work to complete while I'm there and i hope i have time to complete it. English, french and humanities :P
OK i gotta go and double check i haven't forgotten anything!
oh also im not looking forward to 2 hours on the bus and 4 hours on the train but what can you do?
Bee!
P.S the photos are just funny ones i found!
(me in my Playmobil hospital and doing X-rays :P!)

Out-Dated

I love new technology. My iPod Touch is the greatest but i also love the old stuff. Dad's records are the best and i way prefer the Nintendo 64 to the Wii but i really don't like it when people call new stuff by the old names. Today some lady in Kmart asked me whether i had any "videos" that sent of the alarm. I said yes but in my head i was thinking no i don't have any videos i only have a DVD.i dunno, i dont let it ruin my day or anything its just one of those annoying things like when you say "how are you" and someone reply's "hi", you know what i mean?(i did that today at a cash register and felt like a massive stooge!)

The Low-Down

Today i had the day of school. YAY!(I had and orthodontist appointment)

I rode Prince in the morning then dad and i went to M.G. My appoinintment wasnt till 3:00 so i had time to do some shopping for Wrok Experience next week.I felt like such a consumerist though because i bought a fair bit of stuff(everyone should be spoiled once in a while??).I am glad to say that it was all practical stuff though.

My teeth really hurt because i got bands put on to my braces so i have been having persistent headaches all afternoon.

I had a run-in with those stupid anti-shoplifter sensors in Kmart. It went off as i walked into the shop. The offending article was a DVD of my friends that was in my bag(wherever she bought it from didn't take of the security device).

I got home to see that my poor baby had a cone thing on him. Cobee got de-sexed today and i forgot all about it so it was a bit of a shock. He looks so funny with the cone thing on. Mum says he has to wear it for TEN DAYS!! That's ages, i suppose betting than him pulling out his stitches though!

I have inter school sports tomorrow that my team isn't going to win but oh well, what can you do?

better get some shut-eye

Bee

oh also i forgot.I had a coffee today from Gloria Jean's and its really annoying how you have to put the lid on the cup yourself because i spilled a lot of mine on my hand (hot coffee hurts!!!)
on the upside it was really nice

Plan For The Afternoon

I have jumped in bed.
Made myself a hot Milo.
got myself a packet of Soothers for my throat (the new ones with vitamin C are really good)
Chilling with a hot water bottle.
writing this post( maybe one more i dunno yet).
vote for my favourite 10 songs of all-time at the Triple J website(i have decided).
finish Twilight ( for the 9th time, no exaggerations).
Watch the scenes in Pride and Prejudice at the first ball in Meryton, the Netherfield Ball, all the Kent scenes (I will watch Mr Darcy's declined proposal several times),the last scene where Lizzy accepts and then finally the U.S alternative ending ( Mr Darcy and Lizzy are having there fist night as a couple together looking over Pemberly)- several times I'll watch it.
Read the 6th and 7th Harry Potter. (Skipping a few of the chapters i don't like...i know those books of by heart. I've read both at least 10 times).
Watch Baz Lurhman's Romeo and Juliet (the "Where art thou Romeo?" and the scene where Romeo and Juliet Kill themselves. Oh and also the
“These violet delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die, like fire and powder.Which, as they kiss, consume." line -it gives me shivers :D)
I shall then make some scones with jam and cream.
I found a recipe for a triple choc tart that I'll also make.
have tea depending on the time.
watch Mansfeild Park.
Bedtime (Pony Club tomorrow)i hope i won't be too sick to ride!!!

Gripe

(only a short one)
I am sick of American computers telling me that favourite and colour don't have a U !!
stupid American spelling throws me every time i write coz i get a red underline under all these words and i cant work out how they are possibly spelled wrong!
argh!

Sick Days

I think "chuckin a sickie" is part of Australian culture, a tradition almost.
I hate them.
Don't get me wrong i love days of but i think chuckin a sickie is just a stupid idea.
you feel real cool, thinking you fooled mum, dad, teacher ect. but then what?
your trapped at home trying to keep up a believable facade off feeling sick.
I did'nt chuck a sickie today, i am genuinely sick and it really really sucks!
not just the being sick part. I mean the rest of my family are going out to tea tonight with a big group of our family friends, i think 5 or 6 families re going. I cant(i might give them the plague or swine flu, whatever iv got coz i feels crappola!)
its really crap being sick and not being able to do things.
that is why i think chuckin a sicky is over-rated it ALWAYS backfires. something good happens and you wished you hadn't pretended to be sick coz then you miss out.
also you start becoming the boy who cried wolf and no-one believes you if you are genuinely really sick anymore.
my advice is don't get sick :P and don't chuck sickies-they're not that great.

Bella (who incidentally is writing coz she can talk! the flu has zapped away her favourite pastime:D)

The Hottest 100 of all time

Triple J ( the best radio station in the country) is doing a Hottest 100 Of All Time.
Triple J has the best music good stuff sans the crappy pop. REAl music :D
so anyway every year they d a Hottest 100 Hundred and people vote for the best song of the year.
Every 20 years or so they have a Hottest 100 Of All time.
You get to vote for 10 songs once but i don't know which ones to pick, there is too may goo songs around!

Lazy Afternoons

I had a really enjoyable afternoon.I hopped of the bus in town to find that Auskick was happening so i went and helped out ( was doing well until asked to demo an bounce....shamed in front of the little preppies :D never live it down).
I then got a lift home from a family friend.I set about making tea (chicken stir-fry, i couldn't be bothered trying anything more gourmet tonight)and just pottered along i was really tired, there was no way i was going for a ride!
Then me and me little brother nagged my big brother ( who has come down from a week because he doesn't start Uni exams till next week and doesn't have any lectures) to play Mario kart with us n the Nintendo. I'm not really a computer game person but i had the funnest afternoon. it was so nice to just relax.
plus mum was really happy to come home and find tea made as she had been a t a very long meeting (:.
Bee

Exams

it's that time of the year and i getting pretty stressed to be honest :D
I had two french exams today; reading and listening.
i haven't got my reading results back but my listening was... O.K.
I got 69% which, for me, isn't great. i generally get high 90'sin most tests for other subjects.
But i have to look at it objectively, for French that is actually a really great result. it was better than i expected because i found the listening one extremely difficult.
My writing exam which i did on Friday was really good I'm not totally sure on the percentage score nut it was high 80's and by far the best writing score I've gotten this year for French.
My speaking exam is on Friday and I'm a tad worried but I'll just have to make a big pot of peppermint tea that morning to calm myself:D.
apart from that a reasonably cruisey day!

Ch-Ch-Changes

I've kinda re-vamped my blog...what do you reckon?

And Victory Would Belong To Moi!

Yay!!!
Hi Five!!(a virtual one)

Victory is mine!
I have succeeded in my mission of the Cardboard Boxes!!!!!
(previously mentioned in my Cardboard Boxes Post)

I came up with a solution to burning thousands of cardboard boxes. I suggested the CALM (Conservation and Land Management) kids that were going to burn the boxes, flat pack them and then mum would bring in the trailer and stock crate then take them to the bug recycling plant in S.A. Now not only was my proposal much more sensible and environmentally friendly than burning them but it was ten times as easy too.

I was really proud of my efforts and know that my arguing with the Assistant Principal, the year 11 and 12 coordinator, my year level coordinator, maths and science teachers was not in vain!

Hoorah!

I also pointed out that the school would even make money out of it as you are paid to recycle in S.A!
Smart, no?

I am ECSTATIC!

Bee

Words

I'm a pretty wordy person, or at least i reckon so.I try to expand my vocabulary and utilize words that have a better meaning to what i am trying to say. So it bugs me when people make up words, its really funny to here some.

The other day i was sitting down with my mates at lunch and one girl goes " I really hate in clas how your not allowed to conversate with others because you have to do your work"...'Coversate' how'd she come up with that? and i mean good on her for not being boring and just saying talk but its not i word and so i told her (not to embarrass her or make myself sound really smart, just that next time she can get it right and someone whom she isn't friends with won't pick it up and make her even more embarrassed than i would.)and she said to me "No its definitely a word" and i said "no, Kat it isn't trust me.It's either you converse with someone or have a conversation with them. NOT conversate" and she would not believe me! and she still says it all the time and i makes me cringe :P.

But in saying that i would like to know some people can make up words and suddenly they are real words like 'ranga' which somehow made it into the Oxford Dictionary (and really ranga is just an abbreviation of orangutan)and other words that are said but never become an 'official' word?
suggestions?

Australianisms

I was at school today and i was just chilling and all i could hear was people calling out to others using their Aussie nicknames lol.
I reckon everyone has a nick name in Australia lol.
A boy always is called their last names with and "e" sound or an "o" sound. and if their name has an R in it they become "azza" on the end.
Charlie Smith becomes Chazza Smithie/Smitho.
its great i love it. Bella doesn't work that's why I'm Bee but Eyre become Eyrey.
that is definitely one of my favorite Aussie cultural things.

Eyrey :D

Livia E. Bitton Jackson

She is my new hero.
Born Elli Friedman a young Jew from Czechoslovakia.
I just read her book, "Elli-Coming of age in the Holocaust". It is the most amazing story i have ever heard.
I definitely prefer it to Night, and i thought nothing could be better than that!
It is Elli's story of her time in Auschwitz, Dachau and various other camps.
It is beautifully written by an amazing girl.
She went through such terrible atrocities yet her outlook was still refreshing the book wasn't bitter or anything it just told her heart-wrenching story beautifully.
I have been doing a bit of research on her and what she continued to do after was amazing. She moved to America and became a college professor and wrote more books and heaps more
She is just oh my gosh.

Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt is my all-time favourite artist ever in the world! My bestest best favourite!:D
He is really excellent and i am a huge fan!
I have seen some of the most favourite artworks in the world and in my eyes none can compare to his work!
That really is a compliment as i have seen The Mona Lisa, The Venus De Milo, the whole set of the garden party paintings by Monet and the set of bridges, A heap of Renoir's and a gazillion Van Gough's.
My favourite is The Kiss ( the two people kissing :))
If ever you are in Vienna go the the Bellevedere Palace and in Paris go to the Musee D'Orsay and see the Klimts. Bellevedere has the Kiss.(The palace is worth seeing in itself).Actually second thoughts the Musee D'orsay is worth checking out on its own too :D.
he was one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.
A legend!

Bella, I'm no art expert but i know what i like!

I eventually found my way back to the main road and i saw mum driving around looking for me in the pines. I felt very bad because i had really worried mum that i hadnt come home, she though id hurt myself or something. i felt really awful but it wasnt if i tried to get myself lost.

Vocabulary

I learnt a new word yesterday.
Glib.

1. readily fluent, often thoughtlessly, superficially, or insincerely so: a glib talker; glib answers.
I like it so much that i used it in my work experience application letter.

Bruce Springsteen

Dad was in the mood for some music today and he decide on some Bruce Springsteen.
I was trying to watch To Kill A Mockingbird and i could hardly even hear it. It i already hard to hear as it is a old movie. I was so grumpy. It has taken me over a week to try and watch this movie and now that i have time i cant hear it grrr

Racism

as much as we try to deny it racism is a big problem in our society.
I get really angry when i hear it. Ive written about some unsavory things Ive heard before.
Now today i was talking to one of my mates and she was telling about the local footy on the weekend and how our seniors team won.
then she goes to me "But some aboriginal F*** called Luke (her boyfriend) a cowgirl" and so i laughed and said that is a pathetic insult and she goes "Nah he went up to the abbo and had i go at him". this really annoyed me. If the man who insulted him hadn't been Indigenous then she wouldn't have cared and neither would her boyfriend, its just not right. the another time someone called him "half-cast" which is stupid in the fact that he is clearly not, but who cares honestly? but then he skitzed out tat them too. Why other and she goes "well who'd wanna be called that!" as if it was the worst thing in the world!
I just don't her, or any one for that matter when they ta;lk like this.It makes me very disappointed din her for sure.

Cardboard boxes

Q: What do you call 24 blonds in a cardboard box?

A: A case of empties.

Ok i really hate that joke but its the only cardboard box related one i could find.
Cardboard boxes. not something that comes up in normal conversation but are a very important part of our life. they are used for so may things.
So anyway yesterday in class we were asked to move a massive pile of cardboard boxes to the oval because they were going to be burnt.
How crazy is that?
there are so may that in 20 mins 30 kids hadn't even made a didn't in the pile we had to move!
So why burn them?
RECYCLE
our school craps on about being environmentally friendly yet they will burn thousands of cardboard boxes on the oval.
A. the oval is gonna have a massive burn mark on it and is gonna be useless to play on till the grass grows back.
B. its gonna stink out the place, and:
C.Its is such a waste because f we recycled them we could use them again!
I asked the A.P why this was happening as she goes "Oh its to hard to anything else, it will cost $100 to get them re-cycled"
say what?
only $100 to have them disposed of responsibly.
gosh i just don't get it.

EuroVision

So i was watching Eurovision and it cracks me up. the two hosts are the massivest tools.
The chick is 2008's Miss Universe (you can tell why she chose modelling over like, i dunno, law or something) and i dunno the guy is just some random dropper.
It is in Russia so both are Russians and their English is good but very rehearsed.
Miss world just laughs and smiles and repeats stupid sentences and the male host is all "Ya,Ya Okkkkay. Ya hmmmm".he also is constantly trying to feel up Miss Universe. It cracks me up. the girl one is like " I vill press ze majik botton and ve vill se za vinnnnners." ..guy one "Ya hhmmm Ya Okkkkaay.". It's great!
can't wait for next year!

A Book Marathon

I am a bookworm. A real one. I kinda am gonna sound like a snob but i hate when people pretend to read all the time to show off or something i dunno it annoys me.But yeah i love books lol.I would read a book a week at least. I have always read and always will. So in this last week i have gone through two books both complete classics. To Kill A Mockingbird and Night by Ellie Wiesel. So, To Kill A Mockingbird would be one of the best books i have ever read, hands down. I know why it is such a classic, the one thing i don't understand is why it took me so long to read lol. yeah Harper Lee is a genius. If anyone hast read this book, do so. Night is fantastic to. It is the story of Ellie Wiesel a young Jewish boy that during the Holocaust was taken to Auschwitz-Birkenau.Now this book isn't for the faint-heart for sure. It is unbelievable though. both his writing and what he writes about.mmm yep read this to.
A main thing that i like about these books is that they have a very mature theme and you have to really understand the subliminal and be able to follow the sub plots and the little insinuations. I like that they are at a high reading level.
i was given these books by an English teacher, not mine but the other year 10 class's. She said that i was he protegee and that she loved having me around becuase it was refrshing to see someone with a higher general maturity and reading maturity than the rest of my year. I was so flattered!
She said whenever i want another book to see her. She has already given me a pile of 12 books to chew into I'm keen. I reading marathon. Bring It!
If anyone came to me and said "what are 10 books that i must must read?".Both To Kill A Mockingbird and Night would be on that list.
If you haven't read these then, please, do!
Enjoy!

ODE

today i had a horse competition, a One Day Event. its in a neighboring town about 45 minutes away. i wasn't very happy because my dressage test was scheduled for 8:00 am in the morning so i had to leave home at 6:45 am....an early morning for sure.So i caught my horse but he just didnt wanna go on the float- i was sooo frustrayted!
so when i evetually got him on i was running really late it was like 7:20 or somehting we were in such as rush. really bad to be considering we wear twoing the float and there were plnety of kangaroos aroung, plus being a SUnday the trucks hadnt hit any so they were everywhere (that sounds kinda bad but kangaroos just jump into you they are so silly :D).
so i got to the event with no time to spare and i got tacked up but something was wrong with my bridle that took me like 5 minutes to fix. then once you saddle up you have to go to gear check where all your tack needs to be passed to make sure its all safe. the woman there was being so slow and i was trying to explain that i was LATE and she just kept pottering along grrrrr!
so i raced over to the dressage arena to explain to the judge that i was late and that someone else could go in front of me. she just goes "no you're late that your fault and you'll just have to ride" in a really snappy voice" which is totally wrong because the rules are if you ask the judge ad organize another rider to take your place your are allowed extra warm-up time, i like at lest 20 minutes warm up to get Prince settled.
So i raced to the entrance ( i also didn't have a whip coz i must have left if behind which was really frustrating). so i rode in and did my test but i forgot which way to go and stiffed up a but of it. i was so upset. im by no means a sooky person but i couldn't help crying a bit i was sooo frustrated with my self, Prince and the stupid judge. i just knew i was gonna get a bad score because if you get a bad dressage score you always get a bad placing for the rest of the day no matter what your showjumping and cross country is like.
so i grumbled a bit.
i ended up doing well in my showjumping and cross country getting clear round in both and it turned out that my dressage result wasn't bad because i had done most of it really well and that kind of canceled out the bad bits.
so i got 3rd overall with a mega cool ribbon and stuff and so i was pretty pleased.
im now going to have a nice warm bath, have tea, and watch the Eurovision Song Contest and an early night tonight!

Competition

I am someone who loves a bit of competition...Healthy Competition that is. I generally do really well in school, especially in English, Maths, Science, Humanities and French. No i think that competition can be a great hing as i often pushes you to exceed what you would normally think yourself capable of. However i get mega pissed when hat competition starts to be tinged with bitchiness and (i don' wanna sound up myself) but with a bit of jealousy and envy too. Mostly i am in a very supportive environment, my friends are pleased when i do well and i encourage them when he do well too. Lately though i have been hearing some comments that have really offended me like, "Geez I'm sooooo happy i bet Bella today. God she annoys me so much how she gets good results. im soo happy haha what a bitch!".(or along those lines i have heard a few lately so they become slightly blurred in my mind). No to me that's is sad because i have when people compare themselves to me A: because i think it is silly as everyone had different talents and faults and B: i sometimes feel a little embarrassed and insecure about it. Now when i hear these things I sometimes feel flattered because obviously i am good enough to compete with and a challenge to beat but it is just so petty! ARRRRRR it frustrates me because it is some friends saying it too!Now i have discussed it with some of my mates and they agree that it is stupid too so i dont understand why some people bother. i don't want to confront people however because i dont want to make a huge fuss, that's not who i am. i just wish they had never said it in the first place. I am so MAD! i just don't know what to do???

Australia

I'm not gonna go on raving today but i just want to say a little something about this amazing land....
Today really re-ignited the flame i have for Aus.My ride really made me appreciate just how lucky i am to be Australian.
Every thing was so beautiful. The sight was great but then there is just this smell that is so nice it is pretty much indescribable. Then the sounds. It was so quiet that i could ,no joke, hear the kangaroos jumping next to where i was riding.
I think being overseas just made me appreciate even more where i live.
argh its just too hard to describe!
If i hadn't seem Australia in winter then I'd say summer was the most beautiful thing ever but there is something about the winter that brings out the ruggedness and colour of where i live. It just takes my breath away, truly.
I just love this place i can't say it strongly enough!

Apres Schoolios

Came home.Got changed. Help dad with some cleaning. Caught my horsie. Then i went for a trail ride in the pines.I really needed this, a good gallop to clear my head and just run with it, my way of zoning out, of Me-Time.I wish i had of had a camera on me.I don't really like Pines in general because they aren't native and all that jazz, but there is nothing more beautiful than cantering my horse in the pines only hearing the echo of his hoof beats with water droplets from the rain this morning clinging to the pines needles like little shining diamonds and then slowly walking with the one, two, three beat of my horse's hooves and me softly humming "La Vie En Rose".As i was going along it was turning to dusk and the most glorious sunset was glowing,it was just one of those moments, you know?, a WOW moment.Riding like that, it is my ultimate chill-out thing. The feeling of this collective is indescribable. In moments like these (no i don't need Minties-bad pun :D) I am 100% happy to be me and living in the bestest best country in the world.
A Blissed-Out Bella.

P.S even though I'm no photographer ill get some picies next time and share a little slice of heaven with you.....

Schoooolies....

meh i was suuuuper tired today and was having ALOT of time concentrating.Maths was a blur. A good thing did come out of it i won this game called Multo ( a times table version of Bingo). Humanities was mega mega boring. We had a substitute teacher because or real teacher wasn't there AGAIN. I swear we have more lessons with subs then with our actual teacher! It really pisses me off because I personally love Humanities, especially history and anything to do with geography world histories, cultures ect., and i never get to learn anything because my teacher is a massive Dropper! the only half not so bad thing about Subs is that we don't have to follow our seating plane because they don't know we have one so i can sit with mes amis !English was bit of a bummer too as that teacher was away too! Geez!I love English and my teacher, she is a legend, so again a bummer not to have her. Not so bad because we are reading this book called "Deadly, Unna?" that's really good, and our Sub for today ready really fast so it meant that i could actually read normalally and not have to read a page then wait to be caught up to. that was a plus!.The bus ride home wasn't exactly inspiring. one guy smelt real bad then opened the window and blew his stinkyness up the back to me and my friend. Honest to god he musn't've have had a shower in weeks!
My lack lustre day...

Debs

the Debutante ball.
Something I read just now on Anna's blog reminded my of something i was going to post last week.
For those who don't know what the Deb is it is a dance were girls in year 10 or 11 get dressed up in white dresses and have a few waltzes.
not to bag any one else's opinion of this but i think it is a load of Bull S*!&T.
It is supposed to symbolize i young girl turning into a "Lady" and coming "out" into society (very Jane Austen-esque).So basically when a girl is ready to go husband hunting.
To me this idea is disgusting. young girls objectified for men.
Now some argue that the Deb doesn't mean now what it meant in an earlier century.
So i ask them "What does it mean then?". I can never get a satisfactory reply.
Some say "it is important in a girl's development" or along those lines.Pfffft I know so may women who have done amazing things and never done their Deb or ever felt regretful that they didn't
The Deb is devoid of any real meaning any more. my friend Kat was talking to me the other day about her Deb. It is going to cost her over $1000!!!
i could go overseas with that much money!
I just don't get it. I'm sorry.
When you think what could be done for that amount it is really sad.
If people wanted to have dance why not just have a formal where you can get a nice dress that can be worn again and have just a nice time as you would doing anything else.
Sorry Anna.Love to hear your perspective.
Over and Out
Bee
P.S if anyone would like to give their opinion as to why they think the Deb is worth while then shoot!

Inspiration

I had my lovely Grandma come and stay at my place for the weekend. It's a pretty big deal as she lives in Sydney oh I dunno only like 16 hours away! :D
I love spending time with my family. My Uncle was also down and he is really great.
My mum is one of 5 children and i love having all my Aunties and Uncles down ( except for one he really gets on my nerves!).
I don;t see them often as they are all High-Fliers with their own businesses in Sydney and can't make it down very often.
I love the discussions I have with my immediate and extended family.I am treated as a grown-up, which i love!, and can have good talks about important issues and i am taken seriously.
I love cooking with my Aunty Mona- she is an excellent chef. For Christmas she bought me a pasta maker which i am OBSESSED with. Cooking is a real passion of mine. I love using fresh herbs and ingredients from Mum's garden and creating something special. I believe food make a moment and makes a good memory or occasion a wonderful one. I love to make stuff that makes people smile (also i don't mind getting a few compliments!)Whenever my friends come over for a sleep-over i love to cook them something, to make a moment magical which i truly believe only a good meal can do.
My uncle Isaac is fluent in French so i have good long chats to him practicing my fluency and conversation skills.
So anyway back to my Grandma as a parting gift she gave me a Little Green Book for me to write things that inspire me, make me laugh,Quotes i think are worth remembering or things/memories that i don't want to forget.
She told me it is special and very important to have a book like this and that when you feel down, have flick back through the pages to boost your spirits back up.
this little gift meant a lot to me because it was from the heart. She had also brought it in England a few years ago and obviously decided that I was special enough to have something like this. I really love my Grandma. She is inspirational. She was a doctor, she worked over seas in third world countries helping young women, she raised a family of five (with my Grandpa), she was a tower of strength when he died and she continues to live fully. She travels all over the world. She went to Norfolk Island last month and in 2007 traveled around Europe. She also does this funny thing were she repeats things she says like "I'll have some toast, have some toast, yes, hmmm, have some toast, yes toast". It always makes me smile!

Puppy School

today i took my baby to puppy school. i was a little apprehensive at first because i didn't really know how he would go.He hast really been anywhere with lots of dogs before and i didn't want to scare/over excite him too much. my friend and her aunt took me because both of there dogs to obedience and agility. Cobee and i were in the beginners class and i wont say it was a disaster but it wasn't far off that's for sure! There were kids in the playground near where we were and they were a little distracting for him :D. i finished my class but had to wait for my friend and her aunt so i chilled with a couple of the trainers and they gave me some tips and showed me some useful stuff that really worked! they also said he was really smart dog and he would turn out really well so i was stoked with that. i was so tired when i got home that i slept for $ hours and only woke up like 10 minutes ago lol.

Last Night

had to go home early in preparation for an early morning :P

today i had training in a town over an hour away with my horse so mum and i drove to there and when we arrived no-one was there. we thought the others must just be late so we gave them a call. guess what? it was canceled and they just "forgot" to tell us. i mean come on! we drove over an hour and spent like $50 on fuel and all the can say is "sorry we forgot"??????????????/ i was sooooo frustrated because not only was it a waste of time and money it meant i didnt get to ride tonight!

-walk into a shop and if the ask you if they can help burst into tears and ask why cant people leave cant leave you alone.

I love both of these but i kinda need some ones to do around school coz i might not be able to go to the shops in the next week to complete them.

A good story

I was shopping to day in a sports store and i bout a pair of Adidas running shorst and a Russell Athletics jumper. $59.95 and $39.95 not too hard to add up, $99.90. then i had a $25 gif voucher and i said "Can i use this?" and she goes "sure....That'll be..." and pulls out her calculator. She had to use a calculator to work that?!
i just thought it was kinds funny.

Nearly there

so i set myself a challenge yesterday, to pay a compliment to everyone in my class. i thought i may take a little while because i didn't want to seem too weird going round and giving heaps of compliments to people i hardly ever talk to. which is kinda sad in a way that i don't normally give compliments to strangers which i always think is a good thing- it can make some one's day!
so I'm getting offtrack. i have 17 people in my class. today i dished out 11 compliments which i was pretty impressed with. i varied complimenting hair, accessories, work and even one guy's socks(hey they were cool okay?).
It was an awesome feeling, watching their faces light up as i said some thing nice to them and i smiled and felt all tingly.
I can't wait to do the other 6 during the course of the week.
If anyone is reading this give a complimet to someone you know and someone you dont know or dont know well.

Choose your own adventure!

I've been watching this show called "Lawrence Leung's choose your own adventure" it's really great this guy called Lawrence goes back and does all these things he dreamt of doing as a kid, llike becoming a rockstar or a world champion. So that gave me inspiratio to my start doing my own adventures. I'm titling it "Bella Eyre makes her own adventures".
This week my adventure is to pay a compliment to every member of my class.
Who knows what next weeks will be? I'd love to hear some suggestions.
I'll fill keep filling you in on my progress as I go. I'm going to try my best to complete my adventure!
Can't wait !

What Did You Just Say?

I was sitting down at lunch with two of my mates when another girl came and sat down. She isn't really my friend but she is kind of part of our group and she is a good friend of my Bestie- she normally sits with me and my friends. I personally don't like her, i think she is boring, she hasn't got any real opinions-i find her to be bland she doesn't have any interests and hobbies and what ever conversation she makes is just shallow prattle. She isn't particularly mean or anything, she can be a little bit bitchy, but i just don't really like talking to her.but whatever thats not the point im not trying to bag her out or be mean you just have to understand my point of veiw and have a background of her personality.
Now I don't know if you have seen Girls of the Playboy Mansion I have seen it once at a friends house and yeah i personally think its one of the worst excuses for a TV show. It pretty much shows a group of Bimbo girls that mooch of Hugh Hefner the founder of Playboy. He sleeps with them whenever he wants even though he already has a wife.He is just a massive Man-Whore - sorry for that term.
So we were chatting away and she goes "It would be so cool to be a Girl of the Playboy Mansion, I love that show!" and I'm just like "what?" and she's like "yeah you get like everything paid for and stuff" and I'm like "yeah but you're practically are a prostitute!" and she's like "Nah its mega cool i like reckon those girls are really cool. I love Bridgette and Kendra and tho two 16 year old twins." and so i said "what not having to work is worth sleeping with a 80 something year old man whenever he feels like it. Do you have no respect for yourself? How can you respect those bimbos? You would honestly live like that, as good as a prostitute?". she just was like "Why not?" and shrugged her shoulders.
I mean everyone can have their own aspirations, goals, ect. but yuck how could you really want to be like that?
I am really not trying to be mean to this girl but i just think of all the sacrifices great women in the past have made to give women speech, freedom and the right to do something good with their life.It just saddens me to see what some girls reduce themselves to want to be, what a waste!

Comps

I had a really good afternoon. I rode my horse King and he was an absolute legend. He is learning really quickly, I'm so proud of him!
I have had a competition on King for the last 6 weeks in a row and i think all the training and hours im putting in to do well in my comps is really paying off!
Last week i had a Zone Team Dressage Comp/ State Qualifiers and my team of four won so we are off to State Champs in 5 weeks, I'm pretty nervous!
The training is FULL ON! Two 2 and a half hour sessions a week at the indoor arena an hour away is getting pretty serious.
I have not only got state but i have and One Day Event next weekend (groan) a 5:30am start!
After that my K Certificate 80Km Endurance ride, that is going to be Hard!
But I'm pumped!

Verbs

A life without verbs, you would be screwed. Actually you wouldn't even be that because "to be screwed" is still a form of a verb!So that got me thinking.Verbs are a pretty big deal and you definitely know that your important when you become "vebifyed" (a word of my own creation, meaning to be turned into a verb). So the phone used to be just be a boring old noun then it was verbifyed. So now you can phone someone on your phone...cool no. Take Google for another example. It used to be some small insignificant search engine and a little insignificant noun until it was verbifyed and now you say "Hang on I'm not sure i'll just go google that".I mean you know your cool and tres important when you are made a verb.
I wonder if one day I'll be a verb?
"yeah just Bella it".
I suppose i can dream!

Great Tunes

I really love music! i cant play an istrument excpet the recorder and when i sing i am completely tone deaf but really that doesnt affect how much i love to listen to music. in my opinion there is not another singular feeling quite like listening to an amazing song. I was on the bus today listening to my iPod and i just couldnt contain my self... i started to rock out and bust a few moves quite to the surprise of the bus's ther patrons i belive but man it felt really really good. nothinh motivates me like music, when i jog i have my "running playlist" including Muse, The Presets, Faker, The Arcade Fire and The Arctic Monkeys just to name i few.Every horse comp i go to i have my "In The Zone Playlist" including Josh pyke, Sia, The Wombats, The Temper Trap, Kings Of Leon and Angus and Julia Stone again just to name a few.Im no dancer thats for sure but when i listen to a great song i cant help dancing and sorry to anyone near me coz thats a hazard i assure you but music is just something else entirely. i recently heard some new songs that you might want to take a listen to: buttons by sia, white winter hymnal buy the fleet foxes, make you happy by Josh Pyke and The Science of Fear by the Temper Trap- i strongly reccomend them! though its not just new songs the classics are great, im a huge fan of sting and the Police: Dont stand so close to me, Roxanne and Russians are honestly some of the best songs of all time they are amazing!
thanks for putting up with this rant its a bit erratic i know :P
Woooo go misc lol

My New Hobbie

So I've got this new hobbie, maybe you can't call it a hobbie, more of an interest I think. OK wait for it....Antique Shopping! No antique shopping INS'T nerdy it's the bomb! Penola in S.A is a great place for antiques, i bought a really cool vintage antique ring there.Healsville in Vic (near Melbourne) has some awesome antique shops and some cool Op-Shops there too! Forget up-market retail therapy my experinces show me that finding a bargain is the best feeling! I love the feeling that when i buy an antique is has History. I recomend it!
Bella xx
So my name's Bella, yeah so its comes with a few puns...
"Can ya Smella Bella,phew?"-you know im cool with that.pffft i know i have good hygiene
or
"guess what bella you're a fella"-again pffft i know im not a fella :D
but what i really hate is this:
"hey Bella, ella, ella, ey"-grrrrr i cant stand Rhianna or that song it really irkes me lol.

Bella
as metioned in my last post i had a french speaking test today, was awesome until my subjects lol on the up side i got to use my favoutite fillers "en fait" wich is "in fact" and crap i cant remeber how to spell it but here goes "zoute alors!" which means "bugger" lol cracks me up. so my opinion is if you struggling to make conversations use a filler... its a good way to buy time or a good way to bring something up. like say "en fait" and the person youre talking to will say "what" and you'll be able so show you bi-language skillz lol :D
Bella

:P

I have officially caught friday-itis! yay weekend. work tomorrow and Pony club on sunday...cant wait!

DPI later was a little strange lol we had to make people look like japanese anime/ menga type drawings haha i did one of lee..she looked freaky lol

Made this :D too much free time now :P

Je ne comprend pas......

um so i heard something today that kinda upset me, i felt really awful. i was walking down the corridor at school on the way to Careers class i think it was and um some one goes to someone else " hey dont ya rekon if someone took an areal photo of this town they'd be more ants than maggots, how shits that?" and at first i didnt get it.i walked on by. it was only when i turned to my friend who was looking quite incredulous that i realised i didnt get it and it obviously wasnt i nice thing so i asked Bonnie and she said "hahaha the braniac doesnt get something (lol)" then i got it...... now if your a little slow on the up take too this person meant that there were to many black people in my town. isnt that the most horrible thing that someone would say that? a bit of local parochialism going on there! no, i wanted to say something to that person but unfortunately i dont know who said it and theyd gone before i thought to look for them i was angry but then i just thought "wow if thats how you think then i guess the jokes on you" but hmmmmm.... JE NE COMPREND PAS!! why say something like? that there is just no need for it

Yours thoughts..............?

good day

i had a really good day today..... 89% on my Science Physics test! hooooowwwwwww Pleased! gosh i thought i was gonna fail.

(ok so its not great you can stop criniging) :D
i think i have a bad sense of humour coz i cracked me up :(

whether weather?

I read not long ago that the weather can affect peoples moods. Me, being the curious and inquisitive person i am :D, thought id make a little study of my own and see what i observed.
It has been really interesting actually. There has been a cold snap all of a sudden down my way and i think a lot of people have snapped too :P. I have noticed at school the weather is truly making people not more angry just more- intolerant, that would probably be the word.
My friends i have noticed are more touchy in the morning and towards the midday when the sun decides to start showing its face their moods increase in conjunction with the amount of sun.
Not just students but everyone around me. even seems more hurried and less inclined to just amble along and you know, chill.Pehaps people wanna get things over and done quickly so they can go home to a coffee and a heater, i dunno.
I know that sometimes i stop and go "god im feeling irrationally touchy today" and its coz im cold i dont have the patience to put up with crap.
so if your feeling a little bored just have a look around and think about whats going on around you, its really quite fun.

Birthdays

My birthday...probably my most favourite day on the calendar actually.
today was it. although legally i am considered a year older im starting to wonder if officially being older means anything.i cant see any real visible wrinkles, i dont think im turning cynical and i dont feel any smarter or any more physically advanced from yesterday. so i wonder what marks me as a year older-does purely knowing that fact make me more mature or seem older.i dunno something to ponder when im bored....

what i really want to blog about is how great my day was thanks to some very special people. My Friends!!

You guys rock!

my mate millie made a gorgeous hand made and decorated card and audrey and casey made an awesome collage of photos of us- framed and all! and if thats not enough they even went to the trouble of stealing the frame for art class (sneaky sneaky) lol

Thanks guys for an awesome day!!

ok so we have our little discrepancies and disagreements but really im blessed to have the friends i have.
we have been through so much together.
deaths, hard times, good times, laughs, tears, triumphs, failures, breakups, everything you can imagine and we are all the closer for it.
I just want the world to know that my mates are amazing!

A Beautiful Quote

"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams"

The Pecking Order

Is it little man syndrome?
It is Ego?
Is it insecurity?
What is it the cause of the local towns pecking order?
It is like ripple effect.
The biggest cities start it.
Melbourne thinks its better than Ballarat.Ballarat thinks its better than Warrnambool.Warrnambool thinks its better than Hamilton.Hamilton thinks its better than Portland.Portland thinks its better than Heywood and Heywood thinks its better than my town. no doubt my town thinks its better than others too.I don't really get it.
It just mystifies me.
I dont know really know what can be done about it either.
how do you stop other towns picking on others?
i dont want to sound pessimistic but seriously can anything really be done about?
i just find it a little strange thats all.
its almost humorous really, because one town is big-noting itself but being slammed by some other bigger town.
i wonder if something can be done?
anyone got any suggestions?

Showies

so i love horses and i love competing but if there is something horsewize i dont understand its shows and showies.getting up at six am to parade around in a ring and if you have the prettiest horse and a shiniest gear you win a 50 cent ribbon,i dont get it, sorry.
no im not talking about everyone who competes at shows (some showies are lovely people) but come on some of them are just so pathetic and rude argh they just get up my goat!
they can just be so petty complaining bout the craziest and the smallest things...not happened whipped cream to go with the fruit salad only having thickened cream , just not good enough.
then they complain about everything!can't they see that we are working our arses off to run a good and functional show.if by chance they are complaining about something in particular then chances are that we are already working to fix it anyways.
some times i just feel like telling them to grow up, a fifty cent ribbon is not the end of the world even though it sometimes feels like it.
for goodness sakes!
thank you to all those showies who are really helful anf friendly!love you guys!

the banana test

There is a very, very tall coconut tree and there are 4
animals,

a Lion, a Chimpanzee, a Giraffe, and a Squirrel, who
pass by.

They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get
a banana off the tree.

Who do you guess will win?

Your answer will reflect your personality.
So think carefully . . . Try and answer within 30
seconds. Got your answer?

Now scroll down to see the analysis.

If your answer is:

Lion = you're dull.
Chimpanzee = you're dense.
Giraffe = you're a complete moron.
Squirrel = you're hopeless.

A COCONUT TREE DOESN'T HAVE BANANAS!!!!!!!

The Twilight Series

This is a 100% true
the Twilight series is the best series of books i have ever read.
First in the series- Twilight
"About three things i was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of-and i didn't how dominant that part might be- that thirsted for my blood.
And third, i was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him"
This is the story of Bella, a 17 year old girl who falls in love with a vampire.
Bella moves to a small town named Forks in the Olympic Peninsula in Washington to live with her dad where she meets Edward. He is dazzlingly handsome, extremely smart, has eyes that change colour, skin as cold as ice and chalky white, has amazing speed and strength and an uncanny knack for always being there to save her.
Words could not describe how perfectly amazing this book is.
Romance, action and suspense written the right way.
I have nothing more to say than it is perfect.
Rating:5 stars *****

New Moon
"Dazed and disoriented, I looked up from the bright red blood pulsing out of my arm—into the fevered eyes of the six suddenly ravenous vampires."
the sequel to twilight
just as thrilling as twilight but probably my least favourite book in the series because **spoiler alert** Edward leaves Bella to protect her...it broke my heart.
all through the middle of the book Bella is heartbroken then she starts to form a strong friendship with Jacob Black (much to my displeasure) the young guy from the local Indian quilette tribe. In Edwards absence Jacob falls in love with Bella.
i wont say what happens next otherwise ill spoil the book but let me say it is THRILLING
Rating: 3 and half stars

Eclipse
" 'BELLA' ?
Edward's soft voice came from behind me. I turned to see him spring lightly up the porch steps, his hair windblown from running. He pulled me into his arms at once, just like he had in the parking lot, and kissed me again.
This kiss frightened me. There was too much tension, too strong an edge to the way his lips crushed mine—like he was afraid we had only so much time left to us."
In Eclipse their is a return of Victoria, Bella and the Cullens' enemy from Twilight.she is determined to destroy Bella and Edward is determined to do anything to save her...
this is Bella and Edwards last year at high school and Edward has promised to turn her into a vampire after she graduates and if she'll marry him...
I've used thrilling a lot in what Ive written but that's what it is , thrilling!
i couldn't put it down i was hooked.
Rating 4 stars ****

Breaking Dawn
" 'don't be afraid' I murmured
'We belong together'
I was abruptly overwhelmed by the truth of my own words.this moment was so perfect, so right, there was no way to doubt it
his arm wrapped around me holding me against him...It felt like every nerve ending in my body was a live wire
'forever' he agreed"
the last book in the series , utterly compelling.
Whilst on their honeymoon something happens to change everything for Edward and Bella.Bella's life is in danger. An staring into the face of death only Bella can protect those she loves..
As perfect as perfect can get i never wanted it to end - except that the end was so perfect.
Rating" 5 stars *****
