Such Is Life

SUCH IS LIFE- words of wisdom,we cant always have complete control of our life.

Where is this leading you may ask?
OK,so i went to a funeral about a week and a half ago.The man whose funeral it was was a close family friend.he was a really nice person and was too young to die- a tragic accident.
at said funeral one of his relatives spoke.it started of as usual, loving memories, kind words and tears but then she said something to make me think, stop, take a look at me , my life and those around me.
her words of wisdom where these (as close i can remember anyway):
"by the end of the day i want everyone to hug a loved one and tell them you love them.
shake hands to a stranger."
(and one other which unfortunately i cant remember)
then she said something so powerful: (again as close as i can recall)
"life is short and so i want everyone to forgive all those people that they are unhappy with, forget your petty arguments and grievances, because ,after all, what is the point of it?"
and i so i thought about what she said.
i thought of all the people i was annoyed with over trivial things,so MANY people
and why what is the point who cares a bout a DVD or a seat in class IT DOESNT MATTER!
so now i am going to impart some words of wisdom of my own(maybe not so wise i'll let you judge for yourself):
please read and take in what i am about to write and what this lady at the funeral said.
I have friends who are fighting with other friends at the moment over something i personally do not think is more important than the friendship they have.i want to them to think what would they would do if they lost that person without ever having made up.it would be awful.
so please who ever reads this blog:
1.give a hug to a loved one and tell them you love them
2.meet someone new, help a stranger, or get to know someone you dont know well a little better
3.send a message, talk or call someone you havent seen in a while
and finally (heres the biggie)
4.forgive someone you love(or possibly someone you dont love)for something trivial unimportant becuase yo might lose them
once you have completed these i guarantee you will feel better

  1. Bella,

Here are two stories I have about this:

    1) I lost touch with an old high-school friend for about twelve years over something stupid. He was seeing this girl who was so wrong for him, all of us said so. He became a different person with her.

He ended up borrowing money from me and a friend and basically told us both to go to hell when we asked him to start paying us back about a month or so later.

A couple months ago he got back in touch with me. I had always dreamed of this day because I had forgiven him a long time ago. When he met my wife and I at our front door I gave him a big hug like I had always pictured myself doing. Felt SO good!!

We didn't talk at all about the money, I'll never ask him for it. Some people said I should, but our friendship is so much more important to me. He's a great guy.

    2) I was almost killed in a car accident a little more than a year ago, you might have read that on my blog. Since then my life has changed and I realize that the little things we complain about usually aren't that important. Not too much in life is more important than being alive, appreciating the life you have and loving those around you.
